Bird Control

Bird control can be achieved in several different ways. The correct course of action can only be determined by the species and area in which they are to be controlled.

Scare tactics such as scarecrows or fake owls are usually ineffective. Exclusion is usually the only effective method to keep birds out of unwanted areas. Exclusion may be as simple as sealing up an entrance (which is usually the case with birds inside an attic) to the extensive installation of spikes, netting and/or electrical Bird Shock flex tracks.

Bird netting can be as simple as draping a net over bushes or trees that have fruit to protect, or as complex as excluding large warehouses. Bird netting is the most effective way to deter birds from roosting overhead in large buildings or canopies. When bird netting is installed correctly it will eliminate the presence of birds roosting in rafters of buildings and awnings.

Bird Spikes can also be installed on ledges and rafters to deter bird roosting. When properly installed, bird spikes do not hurt the birds, but only deter them from roosting in these areas. Spikes may be used as a stand-alone product or in conjunction with other exclusion products such as netting.
